Flavor Profile

This cheesecake beautifully balances the rich flavors of chocolate and cream cheese.

The incorporation of reduced-fat cream cheese and Greek yogurt provides a lighter twist without sacrificing taste. Each bite delivers a creamy texture complemented by the crunch of Oreo pieces, creating a delightful contrast.

The sweetness from the powdered sugar harmonizes with the chocolatey notes of the Oreos, making it a satisfying treat for those with a sweet tooth.

Preparation Process

Creating this cheesecake is a straightforward process that begins with preparing the crust.

Crushed Oreo cookies mixed with melted light butter form a solid base that holds the creamy filling. Once the crust is set, the filling is crafted by blending softened cream cheese with Greek yogurt and other ingredients.

After baking, the cheesecake requires a cooling period, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully.

Serving Suggestions

When it comes to serving, presentation plays a key role.

Removing the sides of the springform pan reveals the beautifully baked cheesecake, ready to be sliced.

For an extra touch, garnish with additional crushed Oreos or a swirl of whipped cream. This not only enhances the visual appeal but also adds a delightful finishing touch to each slice.

This Oreo cheesecake features a rich cream cheese filling mixed with crushed Oreos, all set atop a crust made from Oreo cookies and a light butter substitute. The recipe takes about 1 hour to prepare and chill, serving 8 people.

Ingredients

  • 24 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons light butter, melted
  • 16 ounces reduced-fat cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
